The Awka Zone I Chapter of Excellent Ladies of Valour and Steel (ELOVAS) Foundation, has given scholarship to six indigent students of Nneoma Secondary School, Nibo, Awka South LGA, Anambra State.
Speaking when she led some members of the chapter to the school on Monday, March 9, the Founder/President of ELOVAS Foundation International, QueenLady Ngozi Ekwunife, said the scholarship award to the six indigent students was part of the group’s programme to mark the 2020 International Women’s Day celebration.
The six beneficiaries of the ELOVAS’ Scholarship largesse were three boys and three girls who were currently JSS 2 students. Four of them were on the direct scholarship of the ELOVAS Awka Zone I, while two were sponsored by two members of the group.
According to the ELOVAS president, the scholarship which covered the students’ school fees, would run from the current 2nd Term, 2019/2020 Academic Session, to the completion of their secondary school education.
The beneficiaries of the group’s scholarship award were Blessing Augustine, who hails from Abraka in Delta State; Faith Ugwu of Enugu State, as well as Kosarachi Anene and Somtochukwu Okoye, who both hail from Nibo, Awka South LGA, Anambra State.
