Dozie Nwankwo, Monarch, Preach Humility to Constituents, Subjects, in Nawfia

By Michael Nnebife

A former member that represented Anaocha, Njikoka and Dunukofia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Dozie Nwankwo, and the Traditional Ruler of Nawfia Community, Igwe Daniel Obelle, have advised the People of Nawfia in Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State, to humble themselves before only one, true God so as to have an everlasting life in heaven.

Hon Nwankwo and Igwe Obelle gave the advice in separate interviews with the press at Nawfia, when the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev Dr Paulinus Ezeokafor, visited Ave Maria Parish, Nawfia, recently.

Nwankwo, represented on the occasion by a stakeholder of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in the area, Chief Emmanuel Atuegbu, said neo-paganism among youths was nothing but self-destruction.

‘Jesus Christ says, ”I’m the Way, the Truth and the Life, whosoever that believeth in me will not perish, but will have everlasting life”.

‘This is exactly what our youths should understand; I advise them to humble themselves and come back to Christ to have everlasting life,’ he said, and thanked Sir Victor Nwankwo of Nawfia Community, for the various projects, especially the gigantic church building of Ave Maria Parish, that he was singlehandedly sponsoring.

‘What Chief Sir Victor Nwankwo is doing here is marellous. It’s not that he is the richest person in Nawfia, but he has the spirit of God and decided to serve and worship Him with his wealth,’ the former lawmaker said.

For his part, the Traditional Ruler of Nawfia, Igwe Obelle, thanked Sir Nwankwo, for serving God and the Nawfia Community mightily with his wealth.

Igwe Obelle said that the church edifice and other projects Sir Nwankwo was putting up at Ave Maria Parish aimed at drawing the people of his Nawfia Kingdom closer to God.

‘Above all, the People of Nawfia should make the best use of the edifice for the purpose of which it was put up; that’s to bring our people to God always.

‘We know that in whatever we’re doing, all of us should be humble before God, worship Him, serve Him and the community,’ the Nawfia Monarch said.

The Monarch and the former lawmaker enjoined other affluent individuals in society to emulate what they described as Sir Nwankwo’s exemplary service to God for the spread of the gospel of Christ and the development of society.

They paid a special tribute to the visiting Bishop, whom they described as a true man of God.
