The Anambra State House of Assembly member representing Onitsha 1 State Constituency kidnapped on December 24, 2024, Hon Justice Azuka, has finally been discovered dead at Second Niger Bridge in Onitsha, Anambra State, with his body in advanced stage of decomposition.
A Combined Security Team, it was gathered, found the decomposing body of the late lawmaker at 2nd Niger Bridge.
The Combined Team from Abuja was said to have arrested the culprits that kidnapped and killed Hon Azuka. They were arrested very late Wednesday night.
The Kidnappers went and showed the security men were they dumped the corpse.
He was kidnapped on 24th December, 2024, along Ugwunabamkpa Road, Inland Town Onitsha.
He was the second member of the State Assembly to have been kidnapped and killed. The first was Hon Okechukwu Okoye who represented Aguata 11 State Constituency. Both were killed under the current regime of Gov Chukwuma Soludo.
When contacted, the State Police Command’s image maker, SP Ikenga Toochukwu, confirmed the news, but said the details were still sketchy and that police operatives were still at the scene.
‘As soon I get more details I will update you,’ he told Fides.
