The recent ultimatum given to the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah, to vacate Sokoto as a result of his Christmas message about Nigeria, by the Northern leaders, has been condemned by His Grace Most Rev. Prof. Daddy Hezekiah, MFR.
The Cleric, who is the Founder and Leader of Living Christ Mission Inc., affirmed that Bishop Kukah had said nothing wrong but what reflected the happenings in the country.
‘Instead of the northerners giving him ultimatum to vacate Sokoto, they should implore the Government of Nigeria to look into what Kukah said with a view to examining themselves, repositioning the country, taking corrections and making amendments where necessary,’ he said.
Daddy Hezekiah called on Church leaders, the Christendom and well- meaning Nigerians to rally round Bishop Kukah, noting that Kukah was speaking the minds of the generality of Nigerians, especially the Christendom.
He advised that his personal security details should be fortified to guard against any eventuality, though he noted that God had been protecting him.
Commenting on what he described as incessant killings in Southern Kaduna, the Man of God condemned the act and called on the federal government and Governor Nasir el-Rufai to sit up and do the needful towards protecting the life of Southern Kaduna people.
‘To this effect, the European Union, African Union, United Nations Organization and other notable International organisations, are called upon to come to the rescue of the Southern Kaduna people. The people in Southern Kaduna, especially Christians, are bonafide citizens of Nigeria and as such are entitled to enjoy the Nations constitutional rights, freedom and privileges,’ he said.
Hezekiah called upon both the Federal and Kaduna State Governments to bring to book the perpetrators of what he called the incessant killings.
On the foreign scene, Daddy Hezekiah, who is the Proprietor and Chancellor, Hezekiah University, Imo State, condemned the Wednesday 13th January, 2021 purported impeachment of President Donald Trump by the Nancy Pelosi-led House of Representatives, describing it as a kangaroo impeachment based on personal hate and absolute wickedness, by the US Democrats.
According to Daddy Hezekiah, Trump’s agitation over the November 3, 2020 Presidential election, which, he said, was characterized by massive fraud, which, he said, was unprecedented in the history of the US, including Trump’s condemnation of same sex marriage, legalisation of abortion and other atrocities, encouraged by the Democrats and their likes, necessitated what he described as two callous kangaroo impeachments, which, he said, were highly uncalled for and quite unconstitutional, devoid of any due process.
The Chancellor of Hezekiah University, however asked well-meaning Americans to challenge what he described as illegal impeachment in the law court, calling on them to remain firm and resolute in defending their mandate to President Donald Trump, especially ensuring that the proven integrity and good legacies bequeathed by the US founding fathers were not destroyed by the Democrats in a bid to fight Trump.
The International Mayor of Peace urged those he called genuine US citizens to remain peaceful, law abiding and united as, according to him, the Almighty God was still on His throne and remained a righteous judge.
