A senatorial aspirant for Anambra South Senatorial District on the platform of the Labour Party (LP), Mr Paul Orajiaka, has expressed his determination to address the insecurity situation in his constituency if elected into the National Assembly.

Orajiaka, who spoke to journalists in Awka, Monday, stated that the greater bulk of insecurity in Anambra State was domiciled in his constituency.

He emphasized that his decision to aspire for the senate seat was driven by his desire to use the platform to make policy laws that would positively impact the security situation in his constituency.

‘I have outlined my plans for Anambra South, acronymned SHEEER, which stands for Security, Health, Electricity, Employment, Education, and Road.

‘I will also revisit some of the bills initiated by the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and fine-tune them for the benefit of the area,’ he said.

Speaking on the leadership of Labour Party, Orajiaka stated that Labour Party members, being law-abiding citizens, had accepted the leadership of Julius Abure, following a court judgment that declared him the authentic National Chairman of the party.

Orajiaka also commended the National Leader of the party, Mr. Peter Obi, who was the party’s Presidential Candidate in the 2023 General Elections.

He appealed for a level playing ground in the party’s primary election for the nomination of its candidate for Anambra Senatorial District, which is expected to take place soon.

Orajiaka, a successful businessman and Chief Executive Officer of Auldon Group, assured that his entrance into the senate would add to the number of good people in the Red Chamber who would work to change the perceived rubber-stamp stature of the National Assembly.
