…Enjoins Parishes to Patronize Facility
By Michael Nnebife
The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev Dr Paulinus Ezeokafor, has commissioned a sophisticated modern printing equipment, known as Computer-to-Plate (CTP) machine, at Fides Media, for excellent printing service delivery. The event took place at Archbishop Albert Obiefuna Retreat Centre, Okpuno-Awka, Anambra State.
Bishop Ezeokafor, who spoke with Fides shortly after commissioning the machine, on Monday, 30th September, said the CTP machine and colour separation equipment, would undoubtedly take the services Fides Media offered to the next level in printing and information dissemination.
The Bishop said, ‘With the caliber of people we have at Fides, led by the Director, Rev Fr Robert Anagboso, who knows what he wants, I believe that this machine will really elevate highly, what Fides Media is offering us.

‘A facility like this will help to give us the right information,’ the visibly elated Bishop said, while commending the Fides Management and staff, whom, he said, had the capacity to deliver on the benefits the machine had.
‘So, once more, I call on the general public, all our institutions, our parishes, to patronize Fides.
‘Fides is our own; we must support this facility to make Fides what we want it to be,’ Bishop Ezeokafor appealed, stating that all the parishes did not need to be told that they should patronize Fides, even as he said he had always made that clear.
Also speaking, the Director, Fides Media, Rev Fr Anagboso, described the machine as a game-changer and topnotch service provider for Fides and for the clients respectively.
The Director, who said the machine was primarily for colour separation, gave a brief insight into the services it provided.
According to him, the machine would give a clear negative picture of what should be printed.
He expressed optimism that in all colour jobs such as calendar, brochures, book work, among others, his organization was set to deliver topnotch services.
‘The machine is really a game-changer for us; we used to take our jobs outside to do what this machine does, and we know how much we paid to get them done.
‘But now we have it, we have the advantage of time and the luxury of a very sharp job,’ he enthused.

Fr Anagboso further noted, ‘Before, whatever they gave you outside, you took, but now we have the opportunity to make things the way we want by our own standard for excellence.’
He added, ‘Our focus is religious evangelization, so we set the pace, not only from the pulpit, but also from the offices of work.
‘So, we are here to show how work will be done. When people bring their works, the services they will receive will be topnotch with everything being Christ-like.
‘Sure, we make profit, but as the Church teaches it; that is, reasonable and Christian,’ the Fides helmsman said.
The brief ceremony was attended by Fides Management and staff, as well as some priests of the diocese.
