Bishop Ezeokafor Commissions CAPAD II Fuel Station in Okpuno

… Assures Customers of Better Service Delivery

The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Awka, His Lordship, Most. Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor, has commissioned another branch of the Church’s filling station known as CAPAD Filling Station 11. The event took place, April 27, in Okpuno, Awka South LGA of Anambra State, writes Daruwana Daku.

The commissioning which marks the beginning of the business activity of the station was witnessed by priests and lay faithful within the Okpuno Community.

In blessings the facility, the Bishop thanked all whose efforts in both time and resources, made the fuel station come to life.

He also remarked that even though there were many pitfalls in the process, the Diocese was happy to yet again, have another fuel station that would aid business ethics and standards within the Awka Metropolis.

The Catholic prelate also assured customers that as a Church, the issues of tampering with the meters and selling with an intent to cheat customers would not be tolerated.

However, he maintained that the fuel pump price would be out of the control of the Church as they would be selling based on the prevailing market price.

Highlights of the event were the free sale of fuel to 50 motorists, the blessing of the facility, presentation of Kola nuts and group photographs.
