The Mayor made the pledge during a courtesy visit from the Awka South Chapter of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), led by the Anambra State Speaker, Comrade Ezeani Chidubem.

Addressing the youth leaders, Prince Okafor expressed deep appreciation for the award presented to him, recognizing his transformative leadership in the council area. The Mayor also called on the youth to take an active role in the upcoming Anambra State Governorship Election, urging them to mobilize support for Governor Charles Soludo’s reelection bid.

He emphasized what he called the critical need for increased youth engagement in the electoral process; just as he highlighted the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise as a vital opportunity for young people to ensure their voices were heard in the November 8th Election.

Responding, the Speaker of Anambra State YAN, Comrade Ezeani Chidubem, commended Okafor for his visionary leadership and his unwavering dedication to the youth of Awka South. He assured the Mayor of the youth assembly’s full support and pledged a strong working relationship aimed at advancing the Solution Agenda in the local government.
