…As Ogbunechendo Family Donates Educational Materials

Arinze Primary School, Enugwu-Ukwu, in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State, has held her 3rd Annual Graduation Ceremony in grand style at the school’s playground. The event which took place on Tuesday 22nd July, attracted parents from far and near, including a notable movie actor, Chief Stephen Aladima, popularly known as Uwaezuoke.

Uwaezuoke who came because of his three wards in the school, commended the pupils, teachers and management, for what he termed their marvelous efforts in making the school a good one.

Also in attendance were the School Manager, Rev Fr. Martin Ekee; the PTA Chairman, Mrs. Cecilia Atuegbu; the SSMC Chairman, Mr. Daniel Ekenta; among others.

In his address of welcome, the Head Teacher, Mr. Clement Okodo, attributed the good performances of the pupils in academic work and extra curricula activities to the quality of teachers of the school. He enjoined the outgoing pupils to carry the benefits they reaped from the school to the wider society and be good ambassadors of the school

The Head Teacher, outlining the urgent needs of the school, called on well sprinted individuals and friends of the school to come to their aid for the smooth running of the school.

Speaking at the event, Chief Francis Echezona, representing the Ogbunechendo Family of Ire Village, Enugwu-Ukwu, presented some educational materials and soft drinks to the School Management, saying the donations were in memory of their late father, Nze Christopher Okeke.

He further said that Nze Chiedu Okeke and siblings would always identify with the school at all times and would adequately equip the Ogbunechendo House of the school with sporting materials during the 2026 Annual Inter House Sports Competition.

Chief Echezona also promised to reach out to well-meaning past pupils of the school to bring progress for the overall development of the school.

The School Manager, Rev Fr. Ekee, in his closing remarks, thanked and appreciated all who graced the occasion, praying God Almighty to lead them safely home.

Highlights of the event included march past by the graduating students; cultural displays; Igbo news cast by Miss Chikamso Uyanwunne; and Ezeukwu Tochukwu; lighting of candles by parents of the graduating pupils and praying for their success, as well as donations.
