An Anglican priest, the Revd Chijioke Anaemena of Our Saviour’s Church, Awka, has advised Christians to discover and follow divinely orchestrated patterns for their lives so as to prosper and realize their expectations for the year 2024.
The Anglican priest, who gave the advice while delivering a sermon during a service held at Our Saviour’s Church last Monday to mark the 2024 New Year Celebrations, said for the year to stand out in the lives of the faithful, they had an important role to play.
He said, ‘Our journey of faith is in God’s hands. There are specific patterns he wants you to take,’ noting that the patterns differed according to individuals.
He urged the faithful to discover what God’s pattern for them was in the new year.
‘It is in the place of prayer and studying the word of God you discover the pattern God wants you to take so that the year will be a huge success for you,’ the cleric said.
Revd Anaemena highlighted the examples of the biblical Noah, Josephat, Joshua, among others, and assured Christians of victory over life-threatening obstacles if they followed divine instructions for their lives.
He identified victory, safety, relevance, among others, as rewards awaiting anyone that discovered and followed the pattern and instructions of God.
The cleric, who was optimistic about efficacy of prayer, further enjoined Christians to be deliberately intentional and committed in the things of God for them to prosper.
