The MD/CEO of the Anambra State ICT Agency, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, has disclosed that the agency is set to pioneer new possibilities in Anambra State this year, using technology.
Agbata who stated this in a press release he personally signed and issued in Awka, Anambra State capital, January 5, added that through technology, the agency intended to ensure accountability and curb corruption.
Recall that the state governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, after his swearing in in 2022, had launched ”Everything technology and technology everywhere”.
Soludo, through the state ICT agency headed by Agbata, had recently pioneered the introduction of e-identity cards for all civil servants in the state to curb impersonation, introduced the automation of budget process through ICT, while also introducing technology in the payment of taxes.
Agbata in the press release said his agency was set to pioneer new possibilities this year, while calling on ministries, agencies and departments to brace up in the use of technology to solve challenges of governance.
