The Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, and his Enugu State counterpart, Dr Peter Mbah, have pledged their solidarity and support to the administration and vision of the Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Professor Bernard Odoh.
Both Governors spoke Saturday morning during a courtesy call to the Vice Chancellor while attending the 13th edition of the Annual Zik Lecture Series holding at the Awka Main Campus of the university.
Governor Soludo represented by his Deputy, Dr Onyeka Ibezim, expressed optimism that the new Vice-Chancellor would fulfill his plans for the institution.
The Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, also commended the new Vice-Chancellor for what he described as the VC’s foresightedness and lofty visions for the university and promised the readiness of his government to partner with the institution to ensure a successful era.
He said he had no doubt in the capacity of the Vice-Chancellor to put the institution on a global map.
Responding, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Odoh, commended both governors for their roles in providing governance and assured the readiness and commitment of his administration to foster stronger ties and collaborations with relevant agencies and governments in driving what he called his Disruptive Model Development Blueprint.
