One of the foremost support groups, Anambra Deserves Soludo (ADS), recently held a strategic meeting geared towards dotting the 1s and crossing the Ts as electioneering campaign hots up in the state.

Addressing the members, the National Chairman of ADS, Chief (Sir) Jude Emecheta, stated that the group at various levels of it structure had been working round the clock since its formation.

Chief Emecheta stated that he held the Governor in high esteem, noting that the Governor had done well in most facets of the state’s economy, especially in the area of infrastructure, health, education and social welfare.

Eulogizing the Governor, Chief Emecheta said he was mulling over tendering his resignation letter as the National Chairman of Anambra Deserves Soludo (ADS).

The former ANSAA boss, who said he had been the National Chairman of different support groups for over 10 years now, emphasized that it was about time he quit the Chairmanship position and allow a younger person to take over the mantle of leadership.

Speaking on his reason for wanting to step aside as the National Chairman, the former Anambra South Senatorial Aspirant said,  ‘I want to give opportunity to the younger ones to pilot the affairs, after 8 years as National Chairman, Willie Obiano Support Group; 4 years of National Chairman of Anambra Demands Soludo and Anambra Deserves Soludo.

‘It’s time to rest and pass the baton to the next person,’ he concluded.
