The Anambra State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, has listed some areas where the Governor, Chukwuma Soludo Administration is focusing on the state.
Prof Soludo, governor of Anambra State, recently held an event to mark his two years in office.
The Commissioner, who spoke to journalists, said the governor had done well in all areas, but stated that his attention was more in security, infrastructure and human capital development.
The Commissioner stated that Anambra State, under Soludo had scored high on infrastructural and human capital development within his two years in office.
She said: ‘The achievements under Gov. Soludo’s economic blue print since assumption of office are focused on security, infrastructural development, social investment and environmental sustainability.
‘He is also digitizing and automating the budget system and implementing a social protection policy.
‘The governor has completed 240 kilometers of roads out of 400 roads awarded. He is focusing on road dualization, new industrial cities, and a transportation system as his developmental roadmap,’ the Commissioner said.
In the area of human capital development, she said: “Governor Soludo’s Administration has created over 4,000 jobs. The “one youth two skills” program in the state, is also providing trainings for youths and taking them away from restiveness.”
Nnake emphasized that the government was doing more with less, judging from the current economic situation of the country to ensure citizens enjoy the dividend of democracy they deserved.
