. . . Hands Party’s Flag To Him
The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Chief Ralph Okey Nwosu, has tipped the senatorial candidate of the party, Hon. Engr. Tony-Uche Ezekwelu for victory in February 16th general elections, even as he described Ezekwelu as most qualified and prepared individual to represent the Zone.
Chief Nwosu who stated this why handing over the party’s flag to the candidate said the party’s candidate would offer quality and people-oriented representation, noting that he has all it takes to represent the senatorial district.
‘Our candidate is youthful, educated, exposed and experienced. He will do well as a senator. He understands legislative business. We picked him because he is neutral. We are tired of these set of people parading themselves angling to represent us. Our candidate is bold and courageous. He will do better,’ he said.
The ADC boss called on Nigerians especially the Igbo nation to reject president Muhammadu Buhari and all the political parties supporting his re-election.
Nwosu said that the country must be rescued from what he described as tyranny and most oppressive government in the history of Nigeria.
He added that ADC was collaborating with about 61 political parties to ensure that the tyrant was removed from the Aso Rock Villa.
‘We can’t build a country with somebody like Buhari in this modern time.
‘Our party would join other political parties who mean well for the country to support Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for president,’ he said.
He maintained that rather than unite the nation, the APC government was neck-deep in the division, balkanisation and destruction of the polity, expressing concern that in spite of the woeful failure of the Buhari administration.
Nwosu equally observed that the president they wanted to continue in power has blatantly rejected appointing anybody from the southeast into the nation’s security council as well as other key positions in the present federal government.
He noted that the forthcoming general elections would be a referendum where Nigerians would stamp their feet on the ground and reject outright what he termed the authoritarian and dictatorial government of the incumbent APC-led federal government.
