Anambra 2025: Moghalu makes intention clearer

The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Anambra State, led by its chairman, recently paid a courtesy visit to the frontline governorship aspirant of the Labour Party, Chief George Moghalu.

The group chairman, Chief Uche Ugwoji, visited Moghalu at his Uruagu-Nnewi home over the weekend. All 18 registered political parties that make up IPAC were fully represented at the meeting.

A visibly appreciative LP chieftain, Moghalu, welcomed them to his home and commended their cohesion and objective disposition toward his aspiration.

He took the opportunity to formally announce his intention to run for the 2025 governorship election and appealed for their individual and collective support.

Chief Ugwoji described Moghalu as a distinguished political figure who could make a remarkable leadership difference in the state.

He pledged the cooperation and support of all IPAC members to achieve a leadership that would make Anambra citizens happy and proud.

He expressed the hope that the 18-member political parties in IPAC would work towards a trouble-free governorship election process next year.

The Anambra State chairman of the LP, Chief Ugochukwu Emeh, praised Moghalu as a shining example of political integrity, asserting that he is an excellent candidate to lead the state out of its current challenges. Emeh noted that it was significant that Moghalu’s first political shift in party allegiance was to the LP, “a party of man and nature.” He expressed confidence that once Moghalu secures the mandate, he will transform every segment of Anambra.

Chief Bartho Igwedibia of the Accord Party described Moghalu as a man of trust who has remained consistent. He characterized his governorship bid as “our personal project” and urged IPAC members to see the task ahead as their duty, working in sync with Moghalu to ensure a smooth realization of his aspirations.

Chief Mathias Aninwachukwu of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) considered Moghalu a desirable candidate who is fully mature, prepared, and ready for the task. He emphasized that with the necessary political understanding and support, Moghalu could reach the promised land.

Ndidi Olie of the National Rescue Movement (NRM) thanked Moghalu for being clear in his plans and programs aimed at rescuing the state’s economy, affirming that IPAC would stand by him.
