Anambra State Internal Revenue Service (AiRS) has presented a 12 KVA capacity petrol electricity generator to Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC) Anambra State Sector Command for use at the National Drivers’ License Processing Center located at Nnewi.
Handing over the generator to the officials of the State Sector Command, the Executive Chairman of AiRS, Dr. David Nzekwu said the generator would help the Sector Command in boosting the processing of drivers’ license at the center.
He stated that the generator was provided to the center following a complaint by the State command of the FRSC in 2017 that the generator used for drivers’ license processing at the National Drivers’ License Processing Center at Nnewi was faulty.
Dr. Nzekwu said this hand of fellowship from Anambra State Internal Revenue Service was extended to the FRSC, Anambra State Sector Command due to a strong synergy between the State Sector Command of the FRSC and Anambra State Internal Revenue Service.
He explained that FRSC, Anambra State Sector Command had assisted the State in the area of production of drivers’ license and plate numbers. He however charged them to put the generator to good use and boost drivers’ license processing at the center in Nnewi.
Receiving the generator, the representative of the Sector Commander, FRSC, SRC Edou FN expressed happiness on the good gesture. He pledged to make judicious use of the generator and also requested for more assistance from the State Internal Revenue Service.
