The Founder of the Liberation Temple of Absolute God, Prophet Dr Ramas Asuzu, has warned that unless the people of Anambra State elect the right governor in 2021, the present problems experienced in the state will continue.
Prophet Ramas, popularly known as Ezeoba Akajiofor Ndigbo Gburugburu, as well as the custodian of Igbo culture, was speaking with Fides on the kind of personality needed to take over from the incumbent governor, Willie Obiano, after he leaves office in 2022.
Ramas said the next governor must, among other qualities, be self-made, have experience and be able to stand on his own, rather than being sponsored by anyone.
‘We want a man who has built communities, a man who cares for youths, a man who has means, a man who will remove touts from the parks, a man who will build roads, reduce high cost of tuition and a man who will not be one sided in his development of the state,’ Ramas, who praised Fides for its giant strides, said.
He disclosed that at the appropriate time, he would reveal the person that would lead Anambra to the Promised Land from among the nine people who, he said, had expressed interest for the governorship seat.
He listed them as Godwin Ezeemo, Uche Ekwunife, Obiora Okonkwo, Andy Uba, Godwin Maduka, Ifeanyi Ubah, Allen Onyema, Chukwuma Soludo and Chris Azubogu.
‘At the appropriate time, I will reveal the anointed person who will lead Anambra to the Promised Land and failure to support such a person will lead to doom for the state,’ Ramas stated.
On his assessment of the state under the current administration, Ramas regretted that things were going wrong in the state and condemned what he called, ”Aguleri Reign”. He said that a cabal existed in the state government which had led to the present situation in the state.
The Agukwu-Nri based man of God who regretted that past and present governors had failed to recognize his worth, lamented that the state was in a total mess and said that only a progressive leader who would focus on youth and all-round development of the state could remedy the situation.
He warned those using Ojukwu’s name to gain electoral relevance to desist from such but face governance, stating that he feared no one as he only spoke the truth.
